While the Supa F.U.P.A.s finished the regular season at a modest 3-3, they really figured out how to turn it on for the playoffs., going 3-0 and marching on to their first USL championship. As the night went on, the F.U.P.A.s only got stronger, eventually culminating in a 58-7 victory in their championship run.
Much like former NFL defensive great Chris Spielman, Brian Spielman made a great impact on the defensive side of the ball for the Supa F.U.P.A.s. Early in the game with the F.U.P.A.s leading 7-0, Brian intercepted a pass down the middle and returned it for a touchdown. It was one of four interception returns for TDs in the championship by the F.U.P.A.s in a 58-7 rout.
