The Replacements

This past Tuesday, the Replacements walked a tightrope all night long in two narrow victories. Leading the way throughout was their quarterback, Brent Clark. In two games, Brent threw eight touchdown passes and came through with a huge defensive play late in their second victory of the night, giving his team one last chance to pull off a comeback. Despite injuring his ankle on the play, Clark recovered long enough to lead one final touchdown drive by throwing a 30 yard touchdown pass with seven seconds left on the clock. But that wasn't the end of things. After last weeks last second loss on a "Hail-Mary" pass on their game's final play, The Replacements had to hold their breath one final time by exorcising the demons of last week. As it turned out, the final pass was defended well and knocked down and The Replacements moved on to the final week of the playoffs.
