As the team took the field in the bottom of the seventh, Ballsagna was holding a comfortable lead. But after the first two kickers reached base, the Rumrunners were showing signs of life. A booming kick down the third base line spelled trouble, and threatened to add legitimacy to the late rally. Enter Kim Hayes. Ranging to her right, she managed to snag the sure double, prevent at least one run, and swing momentum back in Ballsagna's favor.
