Alternative kicks came ready to play for the championship game. The location change didn't seem to bother them either as they started slowly but surely on offense with two runs in the first inning. They continued adding runs in each inning with one in the second two in the third and two more in the fourth to go up 7 to nothing. The Drop Kick Murrays couldn't get it going offensively but were set up in the sixth inning to finally get on the board. WIth a speedy runner at first and a big kick to the outfield it looked like the rally would start. A big defensive play shut that down when the kicker was tagged at second before rhe runner could score. Alternative kicks would hold on to the shutout and win a well deserved championship.
Paco's superb 3rd-base play this week earns him POTW honors. He caught numerous harrowing fly balls, displaying sure hands the whole time. He also kicked in multiple RBIs, padding his team's lead late in the game. For his efforts, Paco is our player of the week. Congratulations!
Every week, Nate records many outs on catches and force outs at first base. Whomever throws his way can rest assured that he will finish the play. Like Paul Goldschmidt, Nate is a consistent gold glover at 1st. And his exemplary play continued tonight, earning him player of the week honors. Congratulations!
