Summer Co-ed Softball at Lower Woodlands Saturdays

What a great day for softball! It's a rare sunny cloudless day at Lower Woodlands by Greenlake as No Glove, No Love takes on That's what SHE Said. No Glove jumped out to an early lead & held it for 6 and a half innings until That's What SHE Said came roaring back in the bottom of the 7th to nod it up. We've still got time, so what to do? The decision was unanimous from both sides, let's keep going! With 2 on Jenny Le steps to the plate which drew in the outfield, so she promptly smacks a drive deep to center field over the drawn in defense & scores what turns out to be the game winning rbi! Congrats to No Glove, No Love on their dramatic victory & to Jenny Le for her amazing hit and hands-down Player of the Week winner!

Mr. Gold glove Andy Hopkins was flashing the leather all day long. No one catch was better than the full on diving catch that Andy did. He also was a strong contributor at the plate with several key hits. Great Job Andy!!

This weeks player of the week goes to Yaro and his read uniform that attracted balls like it did angry bulls. Yaro pitched 2 great games. one of them being a win, but also chipped in with some web gems. Yaro had balls hit at him all day long and made great play after play to chalk up outs and get his team into the dug-out. Great job Yaro pitching and not getting killed!
