9-0, the perfect season. It wasn't easy, but it rarely is these days. Great, timely hitting and outstanding outfield defense are two key factors in an undefeated season. Pitches Be Trippin showcased it all on Sunday afternoon at Northacres, topping the two other top teams in the league.
In a thrilling championship game with long time rival Look At This F$%@ing Guy, PBT scores 9 runs in a thrilling bottom of the 5th inning to take the lead once and for all. After surrendering 8 runs in the top of the 5th to lose the lead, PBT buckled down and fired off 9 runs of their own, capped by a 3-run HR well onto I-5 by championship CO-MVP Jonathan Pipkin. The rest of the game looked mild in the boxscore, but PBT stepped up their defensive game, tracking down long fly balls in the outfield with ease. It was fitting the final out was a measly grounder to the pitcher in a league so offensively powered. Great season guys and gals!
