Spring Softcore Kickball at Lower Woodlands Thursdays

Player of the week goes to Jim Park of Ball Me Maybe. Jim's extraordinary kicking led the way to a doubleheader sweep. He cranked not one but two home runs on the day. Also, one of those monstrous kicks was a grand slam. A great day for Jim and Ball Me Maybe. Way to go Jim!

This weeks elite player is Kylene G. for her awesomeness on the field, as well as for her Birthday. Kylene is a Underdog Sports All*star playing in numerous leagues, and it showed with her play and all around great attitude. When Kylene has success on the field she handles it like a professional and a big smile. Kylene made plenty of outs for her squad on defense in a very tight game that ended 9 to 8, and every out counted in the match. With Kylene's great bunts at the plate and catches at 2nd base, Kylene is this weeks Player of the Week! Great all around play Kylene!

Player of the week goes to Megan for sparking her team to a comeback win. She showed great energy and effort as the win was the most important order of the day. There were no bounds that Megan wasn't willing to cross to ensure victory for her team. She even at one moment gestured to the umpire as to say, look at the score... Come on now! So the umpire looked at the score and said OK! Well, her enthusiasm proved to be the necessary ingrediant as her team was able to eek out a 9 inning 1 run victory over the #1 seed.

Stephen H, came up big this week finishing the season kicking 5 for 5 and was responsible for sending the game to extras and the eventual win. Stephen tied the game up at 6 late in the game, and also kicked the game winning kick to win 7 to 6. Great season Stephen.
