Throughout the regular season, Pitch Please used their veteran skills and experience to cruise through the schedule as they finished 6-0. After keeping the pedal down and blasting through the semifinals, Pitch Please found their toughest opponent all year standing in their way. If they were going to win another title, they would have to defeat another undefeated squad, Kickolas Cage.
In a championship game for the ages, Pitch Please squeezed out just enough offense and made all the right catches to narrowly pull out the win, 6-3.
Our hats go off to a gutty performance all season long by one of the most successful teams in Underdog kickball history.
As Pitch Please won another Underdog title, Connor was their 'Rock' at the plate and in the field. Playing centerfield, he was as sure-handed as they get snagging anything that came his way. Showing off his all-around game, Connor was a beast at the dish racking up over 10 RBI in the pair of games on the night. Great games, well deserved player of the week!
There is nothing prettier in all of kickball than the grand slam. When a kicker walks up with the bases loaded, you know they dream of crushing one, but few actually can come through. Not Connor though. With his team only up a couple of runs and needing some insurance, Connor smashed a kick past the right fielder and rounded the bases with glee as he capped off a huge Opening Night for Pitch Please!
