After a few tight wins in the playoffs OG DIG was on a hot streak with no signs of slowing down, but they were up against some of their most fearsome competition yet, Steve and friends. These games were intense with no clear break in points until half way through each game. Each match boiled down to net play with scramble balls and exhaustingly long rallies being the norm, but after terminating some balls through the middle DIG was able to snatch game one. Game two brought a similar tone with each team giving their all through amazing passing and perfect setting on both sides. In the end the difference maker was the outstanding blocking from DIG at the net and after taking a 5 point lead in the second half, they didn’t slow down. DIG managed to clinch the championship in just two games in one of the most competitive and evenly matched games all tournament.
Playoffs day 2, champ week, you either step up or step down and oh wow did Nicole step up. Back to back games of putting up sets smooth as butter, and with reliable hitters on the rest of the team you know those balls got crushed. Whether they were up 10 or down to the wire Nicole didn’t waiver, no amount of pressure could stop her from setting dimes all day and because of that OG DIG came out champions today after weeks of hard work and effort.
What. A. Match. Two very talented teams stacked up against each other In the very first day of playoffs. OG D.I.G. Take the first set in a 2 point thriller, but fight club live up to their name fighting back and cruising the second set. That’s when Ken took initiative and brought his team back to life. He hyped his team up by Scoring several insane spikes, getting a crucial block, and even a few aces, Ken was on fire, and all in the first 15 points of the game. Ken and his team were able to hold this gap throughout the rest of the set and after playing their hearts out, OG D.I.G. Came away with a win against what could be one of the most intense sets of volleyball to be played in this entire tournament.
